Martin was born into a Healing family and, of course, was expected to go into the family craft. He proved to be a decent student, specializing in general Healing. His original plan was to move to a large hold and practice his craft amongst many others, although his plans changed once he lost his lady love to another woman. Throwing himself into his studies with more fervor, he decided to offer himself to a small little known Hold where his skills could be appreciated. Thus, he found himself transferred to New Ista after he walked the tables.
