She has a slim build and an innocent look, but there are things going on behind those big eyes. She was glad to see her boyish figure filling out as she started developing all the right curves.

She is the third of three children. Her two older brothers are six and five turns older than her and the normal brother-sister source of torment to her as she was growing up. Her feisty nature and intelligence were a help in allowing her to hold her own with them. However, her hard-headed stubborn streak and talent for hitting the mark with her verbal barbs were usually the sparks that caused most of the trouble to begin with.
In contradiction to her own tendency to try to manipulate people to her advantage, she is generally trusting of other people. Her brothers were constantly trying to get it through her head that not everyone was honest or had pure motives. She understand this but still tends to give people the benefit of doubt.
Now that she's on her own she's decided to move past her proper upbringing and set no limits on what
she'll try at least once. She figures she'll set her limits once she
decides what she does and doesn't like.

She had a good childhood. Her mother started her learning the tanner craft as soon as she could trust her with the hides, more because she wanted help with her work than building on any talents her daughter might possess. From curing hides to fashioning the belts, boots, gloves and caps that her mother sold at gathers, Glynis was kept busy and close to home.
She was happy enough with the arrangement, not really knowing what other choices were out there for her. However, after her brothers left home to pursue their own lives she became the focus of her parents attention and they started making plans for her future. She didn't like what she was hearing since it did not come close to matching her daydreams of what her future would hold.
She decided to take things into her own hands. She met a young man at a Keroon gather and they began to talk. He was on his way to his family's runner hold on the Southern continent.
It was almost too easy to beguile the young man and before the end of the gather she had him begging her to come with him. Any guilt she might have felt about manipulating him was held at bay by the thought that at least she could get away from her parents plans for her marriage and loads of grandchildren. She wanted it to be her choice on both counts.
She stayed with him for two turns, but they were not a good match and, even though they both tried to make it work, it didn't. Determined to get as far away as she could but also determined not to return to her parents, she set off for Dawnsisters Weyr. At least she knew someone there, even if she wasn't so sure about how her showing up there would be received. All she was clear on was that there would be no more hold life or hold restrictions for her.
