PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION |
Tanda is short and slight, but don't let her appearance fool you. She can fight with the best of them. She is attractive, bordering on pretty, with pale skin, golden-brown hair and grey eyes with green and brown flecks. She feels that her eyes are her best feature and she has developed the habit of a wide eyed stare to highlight them. She has also been known to drop a few tears--only a few, however, so as not to mar her skin or redden those eyes.

Tanda has grown from a tough, feisty young girl to a forthright (even bossy) young woman. No longer one to fight her way out of an argument, Tanda will now use her words and the considerable influence of her gold dragon, Elaryth, to back herself up. She is rather no-nonsense, and has her own ideas about how things should be. She has a soft side, brought out by friends, small children, and especially her Weyrmate-to-be, bluerider F'dor. |

Tanda was a fair archer and good with a dagger, but since moving to Dawnsisters Weyr, turned her attentions to Healing rather than hurting. She sings too, but not well enough to have even considered becoming a Harper. |

Tanda was also a survivor of the asteroid strike. Her sister is Daltan, but they lost track of each other in the chaos following the disaster. Neither of them know where their parents are, or even if they are alive. It took a while for Tanda to find Daltan at the camp; meanwhile she was taken in by Rilar's gang and learned to pick pockets and steal to survive. She also learned how to fight...well. When the sisters were reunited, they agreed to live apart as Daltan wished to maintain her male identity and too many people in the camp knew that Tanda had a sister and no brothers.
Eventually, Daltan's secret was discovered, shortly before she Impressed green Tagath, choosing to ellide her name like a male rider. Since D'ltan's Impression, the two siblings saw each other once in a while, but their lives continued on different paths. Tanda's impression of gold Elaryth might bring them together once she graduates from Weyrling training.

Elaryth is a lovely, glowing shade of gold. Even fresh out of the shell, her hide seems to radiate like the morning sun off the Cove. She is also a symphony of variation. While most of her hide is a kind of swirling festival of 24 to 10 karat gold, after her mother, her belly sports lighter hues of electrum and her wings chime in at a shade so dark they appear burnished. Elaryth is precocious and self-satisfied. Straight out of the shell she knows she is important and knows what she wants. She is also vain, as are most golds. Rather than following the typical trend of general haughtiness, however, her vanity comes out in a form of paranoia. She detests being dirty and will go to great lengths to avoid any blemishes on her lovely hide.
