F'inn is agile, strong, and fairly graceful. He isn't likely to run into doors, or fall over dragons. He's no tightrope walker, either. He's happiest when he's in the air on Clasoth, but he can turn his hand to a number of tasks, if you nag him enough--or know how to sweet talk him. He missed out entirely on his father's red hair and hazel eyes, and his stocky build, picking up instead his mother's long, rather lanky frame and dark coloring. |

| PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION |
He likes a laugh, does F'inn, though he's very mercurial. His moods can shift with dizzying speed and if you can't keep up, the best thing to do is walk away. He's not stupid in the least, especially since he's learned that his beloved Clasoth's no better at making important decisions than he is. He just tends to brood a bit. He is genuinely fond of his sister, Fiona, even though he thinks she casts an unfairly long shadow. He might tease her, and pick on her, but that's the licence that all siblings have, and woe betide you if *you* try it. Clasoth is his very best friend, and he spends a lot of his time with the dragon, making for a very close bond. However, he is very friendly, and blessed or cursed with an unending curiousity. Someone wanting to make his acquaintance wouldn't find it hard to do. When he gets angry, he generally gets over it quickly--unless he thinks he's been wronged. And then he can carry a grudge for a surprisingly long time.

F'inn is fond of books, stories, and songs. He has a good eye, and a deft hand at drawing, and can, if you push hard, make a readable map. He doesn't like cartography, but prefers to sketch animals and people and is a dab hand at cartoons. |

Big sister Fiona was called to the sands when she was fourteen. That made a deep impression on Finn, and from the moment of her first return he was demanding to be allowed to go too. Finn loved animals every bit as much as Fiona, but he preferred to spend his time as a child wandering where he could, and sketching everything.
He never really *expected* to Impress. Weyr life suited him down to the ground, though, and he found that even the daily chores of a weyrling weren't *that* onerous. Classes were classes. Some he liked and some he didn't, and he did very well in the ones that he liked. He got along with most, though he wasn't one to go out of his way to make himself agreeable.
Puberty hit hard, and he endured the all-knees-and-elbows phase with martyred patience. The emotional upheaval was harder, but having Clasoth to share it with made it easier. He worked hard, simply because once he started working at something he *liked* working hard. He had no real problems with authority but when he was asked to take on extra tasks here and there for the Weyr, he did his share of grumbling. Until he discovered that running errands usually meant he could get in some time sketching too. Between outright scared him the first time, and it was a while before he could face the prospect without fear, but he accepted that this was necessary, and more..that Clasoth *needed* him to be clear-headed, and determined, if they were to come out the other side in the right place.
He is not unaware of the risks of Between, and going after Thread. He's heard stories, and seen injuries, but he views the task as the thing that he was born to do. It's almost a quest, his quest, and he would be furious and hurt, if anyone suggested that he and Clasoth might be better suited elsewhere.
